蹤獲弝け alumni welcome the Class of 2013 into the local 蹤獲弝け community during a Welcome to City event hosted by the 蹤獲弝け Club of NY in Manhattan.

Alumni groups in five major cities welcomed recent graduates of the Class of 2013 earlier this month, connecting the new arrivals with a robust and friendly network of 蹤獲弝け alumni.

At the New York City event on September 12, more than 130 alumni and recent graduates gathered to meet new people, greet old friends, and to stay in touch with the university community. Other host cities included Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C..

Those who turned out for the Manhattan event ran into friends, shared stories, and spoke about their lives after 蹤獲弝け.

13, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., now works as an analyst for a research firm in Manhattan. Her coworker and mentor is 11.

Bauman, who studied economics and Spanish, said she got her job through 蹤獲弝けs career services program.

I love 蹤獲弝け, she said. They had an event. I had to go.

13, who studied computer science and geography, is now working for Medidata Solutions, a software company that develops products for pharmaceutical companies. Rabin said he attended the event to meet new alumni.

A native of Marthas Vineyard, Mass., Rabin said he began his job in July, but it was offered to him when he completed an internship with the company while still a student in August 2012.

Its a great feeling to have someone trust in your abilities to offer you a job one year before graduation, Rabin said.

蹤獲弝けs Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund set up the event with help from the 蹤獲弝け Club of New York City. Many of the attendees graduated in May, while others graduated within the past four years.

We like to have our other alumni, mostly our recent alums, come and welcome them, Kristin Loop, 蹤獲弝けs senior associate director of the Annual Fund, said.

Casey Hampsey 13 said she attended the event to build her network of connections in hopes of finding a full-time job.

Hampsey, a native of Tunkhannock, Pa., studied English with a concentration in creative writing. After graduating, she moved to New York City because she felt her chances of finding a job were greater there. She landed a paid internship writing public relations materials for a trade association.

13, who graduated with a degree in physics, is now attending Yale University, where he is working on a doctorates degree in applied physics.

Williams, who minored in math, said his parents are also 蹤獲弝け alumni.

I feel 蹤獲弝け prepared me very well, Williams said. Im enjoying the next stage in my life.
